Available Patches
Basler runtime software version 5.6.1 has been released in January 2019.
For operation on operating systems other than Windows, no patch is required.
For Windows users, two patches have been released:
- Patch_for_Win10_Version1903 (only relevant for users of Windows 10 version 1903), available since August 2019. For operation on operating systems other than Windows 10 version 1903, this patch is NOT required.
- Runtime setup including patch No. 75854, available since January 2019. Installing this patch (full runtime installation) is recommended for all Windows users.
Patch_for_Win10_Version1903 (Windows 10 Users Only)
available since August 2019
To ensure frame grabber recognition by software under all circumstances, we strongly recommend Windows 10 users that have the following Windows update installed:
Windows 10 Mai 2019 Update (Version 1903) (available since May 2019)
to install the following Basler runtime patch:
Patch_for_Win10_Version1903
The patch is available in two installers:
- Patch_for_Win10_Version1903_Win32 (for Windows 10 32-bit installations)
- Patch_for_Win10_Version1903_Win64 (for Windows 10 64-bit installations)
You can download the patch installer from our website's download section.
Running the patch installer replaces two dll files in your Basler installation directory, subdirectory lib. The newer file versions allow seamless work on systems running Windows 10 Version 1903.
The following files are exchanged in subdirectory lib:
- siso_hw_me4.dll
- siso_hw_me5.dll

Please note that Patch_for_Win10_Version1903 does NOT contain a full Basler runtime installation. Leave your runtime installed and simply run the patch installer. The necessary changes for working with Windows 10 version 1903 are carried out on the existing runtime installation. |
To install the patch:
- Leave your Basler runtime installed on your system. Do NOT uninstall it.
- Download the patch installer fromour website's download section.
- Run the patch installer. The necessary changes for working with Windows 10 version 1903 are carried out on the existing runtime installation.
Runtime Setup Patch No. 75854 (Windows Users Only)
available since January 2019
The installers described below include fixes of critical issues that became known after release of Basler runtime software version 5.6.1.
This patch comes in form in form of complete runtime software installers. The installer file name contains a five-digit number (patch ID) that indicates which patch is included in a specific installer.1

Concerns Microsoft Windows Users only Critical bug in uninstaller: Trying to uninstall a Basler Runtime Release 5.6.1 that you downloaded before 22nd of January 2019 (installer number v5.6.1.75621) from a Host PC running Microsoft Windows might cause problems: It might happen that the complete Windows path variable is deleted during the uninstall process. This might lead to problems with your Windows installation. We recommend you proceed the following steps: If you downloaded the runtime installer available until 22nd of January 2019 (installer number v5.6.1.75621), but you have not run the installer yet:
