How To: Record the Screen While Using Applications in Windows 10#

In some cases, it may be necessary to directly record the screen while working with an application to demonstrate issues.

If you use Windows 10 (tested on version 1607), you can do that right away without searching and downloading applications from the internet.

How to record the screen:

  1. Open the application you want to record.
  2. Press Win+G.
  3. You will be asked if this is a game. Click the checkbox and a small bar appears.
  4. Press the record button to start recording.

The screen recording will be saved under C:\Users\<your username>\Videos\Captures.
