pylon Viewer: Error When Recording Video from Multiple Cameras#
Issue#
When recording video from multiple GigE cameras simultaneously that are connected via a single switch, the following error may occur:
An error occurred during recording. Frame could not be written from buffer to disk. The recording was stopped. Invalid pixel type. Bit depth not defined for pixel type -1.: InvalidArgumentException thrown
Solution#
The error message is misleading, this error has nothing to do with the pixel type. Change the transport layer settings, e.g., using the Bandwidth Manager Tool, to share and optimize the bandwidth in your network.
Then, check whether multi-camera image grabbing works as desired and restart video recording.
