Binning (Stereo ace)#

On Stereo ace cameras, binning is achieved using the resolution parameters.

By reducing the resolution, you can lower transfer and processing load and can improve latency and frame rate.

The following resolution parameters are available:

• BslDepthResolution for disparity-related outputs
• BslIntensityResolution for intensity images

Both parameters support the following resolutions:

• Full: 5 MP
• High: 1.3 MP
• Low: 0.3 MP

Use BslDepthResolution to control the resolution of disparity, confidence, and error images. Use BslIntensityResolution to control the resolution of the intensity images.

From the combination selected for these two parameters, the producer derives a suitable internal combination of pixel binning on the camera and host-side 2D scaling.
